Add your SIP

Connect your own SIP trunk to place or receive calls without going through Twilio.

Route outbound calls through your own SIP trunk instead of a purchased number.

Open SIP settings

In the dashboard, open the SIP number settings.

Enter your trunk details

Enter your SIP username, SIP password, and SIP URI.

Set dial prefix rules, if needed

Configure dial prefix rules if your trunk requires specific number formatting for outbound calls.

Save

Save your SIP configuration so it’s available as an outbound calling option.

Place a test outbound call after saving your SIP configuration to confirm your trunk is set up correctly before relying on it for real calls.
